The Phoenix Fund was set up in response to the major fire on the 13th March at Battersea Arts Centre which destroyed our beautiful Grand Hall, a space that has been shared and enjoyed Battersea's community for 120 years along with artists, audiences and visitors from all over the world.
Now, we start the next chapter: finding new spaces for bigger shows and rebuilding the Grand Hall. It will take £1 million to enable the organisation to tackle the challenges of not having the Grand Hall for up to three years. Our insurance will pay the essential costs of re-building, but it cannot cover every one of the countless changes and challenges that we will face.

The support and love for the building and organisation has been overwhelming. Donations from government, organisations and individuals such as yourself are being put to immediate use, to keep the building open and running as many shows as possible, to set up temporary offices, to relocate bigger shows and create a temporary Grand Hall.
