Come and meet the team of Special Olympics Surrey as we take to the water at the annual Kingston Rotary Club Dragon Boat Challenge on Sunday 21st July 2019. A mixed team of our athletes and friends, SOS will join teams from across the country competing in this unique event, with drums, shouting and colourful boats. Don't miss a fantastic day out by the river with family, friends and colleagues,as over 60 teams battle it out on the river to determine who makes it into the exciting six boat final for the Challenge Cup.
Special Olympics Surrey prides itself on operating a philosophy of positive engagement with all in the community. Through sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Our athletes inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential. Year-round, we are raising money to be able to support all our athletes, whether they are competing at regional and national games or at world games. Special Olympics Surrey offers training and athletic competition at all levels in Athletics, Boccia, Cycling, Golf, Skiing and Ten-Pin Bowling.
