Our Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation funding has been renewed, and, having got ourselves up and running again, post-covid, we are once again producing our own work in addition to our support for others doing the same. We are really looking forward to building on this in 2023.
More than ever, though, we need your support – we really couldn’t do it without our cherished individual donors.
We start the year working from our home base in Cornwall with the composers at Plymouth University with the seeds of a bigger collaboration in years to come.
We then return to North Shields, building on the success of Home with Gala 23, an opera gala including the first performance by our own specially created choir, the next stepping-stone in a long term plan leading to a major staged community production in the North-East
Finally, Tête à Tête: The: Opera Festival returns for a third year at The Cockpit London, this time also extending to Festival nights in Cornwall and Newcastle – a great adventure for audiences and artists right across England.
Thank you for heading to this page. As Chair David was a real champion of our work and the picture to the right is from our 2022 production Oydsseys at the Royal College of Music. Throughout the past year David had been supporting our planning for this 2023 season, our 25th Anniversary year, and we are very sad that he will not be around to enjoy, as we did back in 2022, the fruits of his much appreciated labour.
