African Promise supports primary schools in rural Kenya to help make the walk to school a worthwhile one.

African Promise is a small but effective international development charity working towards improving the quality and provision of primary education in rural Kenya by ensuring that schools are equipped to deliver an education worth having. We renovate and, where necessary, rebuild and/or expand our partner schools whilst also supporting them with an on-going, long-term programme of support which includes the provision of a daily lunch to all pupils, funding for much-needed additional teachers and the ad-hoc supply of books and other educational resources and equipment. We currently support seven partner schools in the isolated Kasigau region of south-east Kenya which together serve up to 2,500 children from extremely impoverished and disadvantaged backgrounds.
