Aid to Burkina
Aid to Burkina Charity are raffling a Suzuki Vstrom 1000 to raise funds for a Street Boy's project in Burkina Faso.
Burkina Faso in West Africa is one of the poorest nations on the planet.
Whatever we take for granted in the UK - clean water, toilet facilities, free education, free healthcare , even food- they don't have or struggle to find.
Following a visit in 2008 Allison and Philip Le Dune set up Aid to Burkina , a charity that works in and around the city of Bobo-Dioulasso in the South West of Burkina Faso . Since then 6 villages have been provided with wells, medical care has been improved through work in a clinic, women have been sponsored to set up businesses through micro-finance schemes, a school has been built, and a Boys Project was started for street boys providing practical education and sporting activities .
Now we want to resource a motorbike repair workshop to help young men learn a trade, bring hope for a better future and become useful members of society.
