The 10th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders took part in the attack on the Hohenzollern Redoubt during the Battle of Loos in 1915.
In August 2014, the remains of a soldier from the 10th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders were discovered on the Loos battlefield. At a cermony in 2014 his body was re-interred and his personal possessions were donated to the Regimental Museum.
The objects have not fared well in the Flanders mud and the Museum would like to engage a conservator to ensure they do not degrade further.
The cost of this work will be around £1,000, which will include the display cases in which we will tell the soldier's story. Even a small donation of £5 would allow us to complete this work in time for the commemoration of Loos in 2015.
Your support is greatly appreciated as we all contemplate the events and the sacrifice of those who fought in World War One.
