Our mission is to inspire people to participate in the arts, enhancing their creativity and wellbeing.
Arts Connection – Cyswllt Celf is an independent participatory arts charity and have provided high quality participatory arts projects in a wide range of artistic mediums since 1994. Our work with schools, children, youth, the learning disabled and the wider community offers increased involvement and participation and a welcoming bilingual doorway into the arts. We work with all ages and abilities in a range of art forms across Powys and Wrexham and the borders.
We have 5 creative programmes, which include:
Arts for All aimed at older people and families
Learning by Art aimed at children and young people
Art of Wellbeing aimed at the learning disabled and others with physical or mental health issues
Wild @ Art which has a focus on sustainability and the environment
Skills & Thrills which looks at developing participatory arts practice.
We support participants to experience some or all of the following benefits:
- A greater sense of ownership over their learning
- Increased motivation
- Improved self-esteem
- Improved confidence
- Greater achievement
- Improved relationships with peers and others
- Increased self-efficacy
