Blind Summit is a charity which aims to change people's minds about puppetry. To do this we must create ground-breaking puppetry.
The company is at a pivotal point where our puppet ideas are bigger, bolder and totally new.
The only way to bring these ideas to fruition is to explore them, test them, and train our puppeteers to be able to deliver them. This could take six months or a year for each idea. We don't currently have the resources to be able to do this regularly, and are reliant on grabbing time and space when and where we can.
The Puppet Research Group is our plan to combat this. It will create a space where Artistic Director Mark Down can work with the best puppeteers and puppet makers to develop puppetry ideas and concepts. To build and try-out new puppet creations, and learn the skills and techniques to be able to use them.
Help us launch the Puppet Research this year, and find new ways to preserve and innovate one of the most ancient art-forms.
