Charlotte is 12 years old and suffers from the same hereditary condition as her mum. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This is a
connective tissue disorder which leads to joint dislocations, arthritis, chronic pain and fatigue.
Charlotte’s condition has significantly deteriorated during the last 2 years and she now totally relies on her electric wheelchair for mobility. Charlotte is being treated at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Charlotte’s parents have asked for help with the installation of a downstairs disabled access toilet facility. This will allow Charlotte some dignity and more freedom around her home and garden.
Charlotte spends all of her time at home in her upstairs room. If she is downstairs and requires the toilet she has to use the stair lift to get upstairs which is too timely and results in regular accidents which is very upsetting for her.
Charlotte would love to spend time downstairs with her family and to sit out in the garden. A downstairs toilet would allow her this privilege.
Please can you help this star child.
