Coach Core improves the life chances of young people aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment or training, as well as their communities
Through the creation of sports apprenticeship programmes in 17 cities to date, more than 600 young people from some of the UK’s most deprived wards have since gained the skills, confidence, networks and knowledge to unlock meaningful education and employment opportunities, whilst also impacting more than two million session participants as coaches for other young people and children in communities truly needing sports provision. Young people have been disproportionately affected by the negative social, educational and economic impacts of the pandemic. And the critical importance of activity for physical and mental health for everyone has been highlighted. Coach Core programmes have never been more needed.
