Eat Well MCR is a collective of Manchester-based chefs that provide meals to people living in challenging circumstances. The social enterprise was founded by Manchester chef and restaurateur Mary-Ellen McTague in April 2020 in response to the pandemic. Eat Well MCR has now provided over 84,000 meals across Greater Manchester. Eat Well MCR partners with grass roots organisations, delivering meals to families experiencing homelessness, women taking refuge in sheltered accommodation, parents of children staying in hospital, food banks and schools supporting families affected by food poverty. Eat Well MCR is now raising funds to hit the next milestone: 100,000 Meals for Manchester.
Our Meals for Manchester Campaign allows us to carry on our work co-ordinating chefs and restaurants across the City to provide delicious meals to people in dire straits, that show we care.
