The Environment Trust is an established nature and heritage conservation charity in SW London. We have been working with local communities for 30 years and our patrons include the world famous children’s illustrator Axel Scheffler, actress Helen Baxendale, and TV presenter and wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan.
We aim to inspire love of local places by creating sensational events and amazing projects, so that together we can champion the ‘yesterday, today and tomorrow’ of our local area.
Part of our fundraising strategy is to put on a variety of events throughout the year that will raise money for the Trust and support the development of local projects that may include:
- a Nature and Heritage Centre near Tolworth, which will be a focal point for action and learning about the environment; also
- Kingston Green Corridor, a wildlife conservation project focussing on neglected sites along Kingston’s rivers and streams, which will use the latest technology to help people and nature reconnect.
