Epsom Players is an amateur dramatics society based in Epsom, Surrey. Establish in 1911, we have been performing for over 100 years!
Epsom Players primary aim is to put on high quality amateur productions. The society is open to everyone and holds open auditions. Epsom Players perform both musicals and plays either twice or three times a year.
We have always sought to perform new and interesting shows. We primarily perform at the Epsom Playhouse but have also performed in Claygate Village hall, Bourne Hall in Ewell and Wimbledon Studio Theatre. The Society has traveled as far as Edinburgh to be part of the Fringe festival and has been part of a performance at The London Palladium.
Our mission is simple:
- To create opportunity for everyone to express themselves through theatrical performance.
- Through open auditions to give everyone a chance to be part of the society.
- Not to tolerate behaviour which could lead to discrimination and to welcome everybody.
- To be held accountable to our members and respect those who wish to give praise, contribute ideas or raise objections.
As part of our community values, we support a local charity each year by arranging collections after performances . We have also arranged charity concerts where all the profits are donated to a local charity.
Our membership is wide and varied. We are also proud to be members of the National Operatic and Dramatics Association (NODA).
Your support to help us continue our activities is very much appreciated.
