A local vets recently took in an 18 month old cat with a badly broken leg. His owners could not afford to pay for the care and operation he needed, and unfortunately they did not have any pet insurance. Therefore their only option was to have the cat put to sleep. Unwilling to simply give up on such a young and otherwise healthy cat, the vets reached out to us.
Bean’s leg is so badly broken it had be amputated. Although we are fortunate enough to receive a significant discount for the treatment, it is still going to cost around £700 for the operation and specialist aftercare. If we are lucky enough to raise more money than is needed it will go towards the other animals in our care.
