Flash is a 13-month-old Lurcher at our North Lincolnshire centre, and like most pups his age should be running around without a care in the world. But unfortunately that isn’t possible for Flash without enormous pain.
When Flash arrived with us, his discomfort was obvious from the start. We booked him in for x-rays straight away which revealed that our fears were correct and Flash had a long road ahead of him. Flash has severe hip dysplasia in his back left hip, to the point where his hip is regularly popping in and out of the socket, causing pain that is hard for us to even imagine. This means a normal life isn’t currently possible for Flash, he cannot enjoy long walks, cannot run around or chase a ball, even small amounts of exercise are painful. Flash cannot continue like this.
Our vets have prescribed Flash strong pain medication to make him more comfortable in the short term, but surgery is the only chance he has at a normal, happy life, and even that comes with no guarantees. The surgery and aftercare will come at an enormous cost, and will be a significant financial burden to our charity, but Flash is only 11 months old, a sweet and loving boy, and we just have to give him that chance. Can you help us get Flash back on his feet? Please donate what you can to help us to help Flash, and all of the dogs that need us.
Any funds raised over Flash’s surgery amount, will go towards the care of all of our Jerry Green dogs.
