Keele Community First Responders
Keele Community First Responders respond to 999 calls and deliver emergency medical treatment within the area of Keele and the local community
We are a group of volunteers, trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service to attend 999 emergency calls throughout Keele, Silverdale, Newcastle-under-Lyme and the surrounding area. Based in the community, we are often able to reach patients before an ambulance arrives, allowing treatment to commence as quickly as possible in time-sensitive situations such as heart attacks. This rapid response can improve the outcome for a critically ill patient. We are financially independent - funded almost entirely through donations - we rely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to enable us to carry out our work.
