Oxford Open Doors is a weekend which celebrates the City’s heritage and culture by giving you the chance to get behind Oxford’s closed doors. We invite you into the colleges, university buildings and green spaces together with a range of the City’s other varied and hidden heritage across gown and town for you to explore.
Oxford Open Doors is run entirely by Oxford Preservation Trust. Our mission is to ensure that we are conserving the best of Oxford’s past and helping create a positive future for our great City. We care for many aspects of Oxford’s landscape- from acres of rural land and green space to 17th Century cottages and even Oxford Castle. We have a deep knowledge of Oxford, its rich history, and the fascinating stories it has to tell. Education and sharing our knowledge of Oxford is at the heart of OPT, and we hope to be able to share our passion for Oxford with the community through events like Oxford Open Doors.
Oxford Open Doors is entirely free, run by the OPT team, and funded through donations. This event would not be possible without the support of our volunteers, those who open their doors and organise events, and those who support us by making donations. Please consider donating to help keep this event thriving and free for all, year-after-year.
