Special Olympics Surrey are joining Giving Tuesday Campaign on 3 December 2019 (#GivingTuesday) to raise funds towards our big goal of £10,000 to support our activities and training for athletes to prepare for the Winter National Games in February 2020 and the Summer National Games in August 2021. All funds raised will go towards sports equipment, coaching and training, plus covering costs for carers and transport.
Being part of Giving Tuesday (@givingtuesdayuk ) means that together we can spread the word about Special Olympics, highlighting our work as an organisation to encourage people to make a donation to enrich the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through the transformative power of sport, offering support, new skills, amazing success stories, and hope for many families.
Special Olympics Surrey is a grassroots organisation run by a dedicated team of volunteers and we currently have over 100 athletes as part of our family. Being family orientated, we are looking forward to becoming part of a global tribe of charities on Giving Tuesday, all working together on the same day.
Special Olympics Surrey is accredited by Special Olympics GB, a UK charity, part of a global movement covering 229 countries.
