We are The Parent Teacher Association of St Bernard's Primary School in Rosetta, Belfast

Our PTA organises social and fundraising events for the families and children of the school. For example, we have run a Christmas Fair and Ladies Night, "Night at the Races" and a wine tasting night. We also provide support at school events, such as Sports Day, Book Fair, and providing refreshments at Confirmation and First Communion. In terms of those funds raised, we consult with the Principal on expenditure of the funds, to ensure greatest benefit for the children at the school. We want to enrich the school community through our activities, by organising a mixture of events that will bring enjoyment for the children, increase the cohesion of the St Bernard's family, and add value for the school in terms of fundraising. As we develop the PTA, we would also wish to explore the potential for enhancing the school's place in the broader community, particularly on a cross-community basis.
