Ukraine is in urgent need of transport.
Ambulances are needed to help move civilians who have been injured by the shelling as well as helping to move wounded soldiers
Minibuses are needed to help evacuate fleeing residents from their homes to safety before Russia imposes their rule. They are also needed to move the Ukraine troops in and out of the front line.
4x4 and pickup trucks are needed to help transport goods and the Ukraine forces, some used to escort the ambulances and minibuses. Others are adapted to work on the front line either for moving soldiers or being modified to fight.
Vehicles are being bought in the UK mainly from auctions, they are given the once over, then wrapped in camouflage and then sent to Ukraine.
Regrettably these vehicles do need replacing not due to reliability but due to the Russians destroying them.
The cost of these vehicles is 4 to 7 thousand pounds.
The Carmen are raising funds to buy some of these vehicles for Ukraine. You can watch the vehicle you helped to buy from its journey from the auctions rooms to the front line.
