During the February half-term, Tzedek launched its first digital seminar training for a few year 9-12 who were full of ideas and passion to change the world, but didn’t quite know where to start from. After 2.5 days of learning, they felt that they wanted to do more; they’ve come up with their own idea of a campaign that would raise awareness and funds for an educational project in Ghana, School for Life. Our teens have chosen to invest in an educational project, because they believe that education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Today, we are presenting the first campaign that these teens are launching with Tzedek, and we’d like you to take a small part in it:
Between the 7th and the 14th of March, Tzedek will challenge people to give up their morning coffee, and donate instead their £3 to School for Life. Comic Relief will then double each contribution, providing even more funding for the cause. A small sacrifice of a daily coffee adds up to quite a lot! Take part in our #SwapYourCoffee campaign. Each missed cup of coffee provides education to children in Ghana. Join us for a week, and together we can make a BIG difference.
Share the challenge with the hashtags #SwapYourCoffee and #School4Life, and publish photos of you without coffee on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter.
Nominate your friends and family to participate in the challenge, spread the word, and help take a small step towards eradicating poverty.
“Leave the latte behind and support schools in Ghana with #School4Life. From the 7th till the 14th March, Tzedek challenges you to #SwapYourCoffee. The £3 you normally spend on that daily cappuccino will instead be spent on providing training and resources to over 920 Ghanaian teachers and 40,000 Ghanaian students”
