Following the announcement of a full national lockdown, our vendors once again find themselves unable to work.
Our vendors are self-employed, buying magazines from our offices before selling them on the streets of the north for £3. This means that they are not eligible for furlough, and they cannot work from home.
This is usually the most difficult time of year for vendors, with people spending less after Christmas and cold weather increasing the need for warm accommodation. This year, it will be harder than ever.
Your generosity will help us to provide our vendors with everything they need to survive the weeks ahead, from the cost rent and bills, to food, clothing and provisions for children and pets, to essential travel, such as to and from medical appointments.
This is the greatest challenge we have ever faced, and we are incredibly grateful for your support. Thank you.
