Age Connects Torfaen is a registered local charity providing services for people aged 50+ living throughout Torfaen.

Age Connects Torfaen is the operating title of Age Concern Torfaen, a charity for older people living in Torfaen and the neighbouring counties. We work to get older people the help they want, when they want it. We strive to ensure that those who are vulnerable and at risk are kept safe. We empower older people to be heard and to have choice and control, so they don’t feel isolated or discriminated against, and they receive the support and services they need. Our work is driven by what older people say matters most to them. Their voices are at the heart of all that we do. Since 1989, Age Connects Torfaen has been here to help and support older people through some of the most difficult times in their life. Over the years, many thousands of people living in Torfaen have found companionship, laughter, new interests and a listening ear in the staff and volunteers who are the beating heart of this charity. Some people come to us when they’re not sure where to turn. They may be recovering from illness or bereavement, they may be facing or experiencing redundancy from a job they love and have enjoyed for many years. They may be worried about their finances or struggling to cope in any one or a dozen of ways. At Age Connects Torfaen they found practical help, professional advice, a degree of dependability and a continuity of service and support that isn’t available anywhere else.
