"I left home when I was a teenager and I was sleeping rough on the streets, so I started selling the magazine when I was 16 - that was more than 20 years ago! I’m turning 37 now, and I’ve just come back to selling Big Issue North in Leeds. I’m planning to work as much as I can because I simply need the money. Everything has gone up in price, and I’ve no way of earning an income. Thanks to the help of Big Issue North, I’ve now got my own flat, I sell the magazine weekly as my job and above all, I’m able to get out of the house and I really enjoy meeting people. Looking back, I’m really proud I’ve managed to keep going!"
