Birmingham Dogs Home
West Midlands
Birmingham Dogs Home works to rescue, reunite and rehome lost and abandoned dogs, and has done for over 127 years.
Last year, Birmingham Dogs Home provided care and support for over 2,700 dogs. The Charity's vision is a world where every dog is a loved dog in a happy home. Their education outreach program reaches over 6,000 pupils to help educate future dog owners about responsible ownership, safety around dogs and animal welfare. It costs just over £2.3M to run their centres every year, with no Government funding, relying solely on the generosity of the local community to continue caring for the stray dogs that need their help. Last year they spent over £205,000 on veterinary bills alone, to help ensure all the dogs received the medical care they needed before finding a new loving home.
