Santa is coming for his usual pre-Christmas tour of Milton and Soham, plus new for 2020: Little Downham, Pymoor and Waterbeach!
We have received the results of the poll held and have had news from the man in red himself, as the new ‘Tiers’ and Local Authority rules allow, Santa will be coming to town, but there are some rules to follow.
This year will be very different from other years. All but one of the Elves will be staying back at the workshop along with the reindeer to ensure they are kept hELFy and safe so we won’t be knocking on any doors I’m afraid.
We will be trying to visit as many places as possible but please understand we cannot get to everyone and we cannot get down every side street but we will do what we can where we can. Due to the amount of parked vehicles and limited turning points we unfortunately will miss some streets and parts of others.
We will display a list of streets in the order we intend to visit them (along with maps) but this will just be a guide as some streets can become heavily congested with parked cars. During Santa’s visit, the sleigh will not be stopping and we ask that nobody comes to the sleigh. Please stay on your own property where you can and where this cannot happen, please observe social distancing by keeping at least two reindeer apart from other households and wear face coverings in line with local guidelines, but please do come out and give Santa and one of his elves a wave.
We won’t be collecting your usual generous donations on the night and I’m afraid we will not be giving out sweets either, but if you do wish to donate to help support our charity then you can do so here!
