I have donated because nobody should go hungry. I’m one of the lucky ones who has enough to get by so it is up to people like me to help the less fortunate.

Because of the campaign for Foodbanks on Radio Kent, we know people have lost jobs, still need to eat with no income and nothing in place with the government for weeks and weeks.

I can't get out to make a donation of food so would like to help & hope you are able to access some supplies directly from supermarkets or wholesalers...............................

Because another week has gone by that I’ve not been able to donate in-store

Because these are extraordinary times and I am lucky enough to be able to buy food for my family. It must be heartbreaking not to be able to do that.

Its all time we help those who really need it - thank you to the food bank for being there.

Aware food donations are particularly low at present . This service is desperately needed and will probably be needed even more in the coming weeks .

Because there was so little left in the shops for me to buy and put into the donation bin.

You guys are doing an amazing job. Keep going.

Thank you for all you do for the community

I have always donated items via the local collection box at Sainsbury's. However a staff member advised me not to leave the items that are scarce at the moment. Evidently other people have been rummaging in the box and removing items. This is awful! So I thought it best to send you some money at this time.

Thanks for doing whats needed as ever ♥️

Donating money that I would have used for food for the rest of the term- don’t need it anymore because the unis closed. You all do vital work, and it is needed now more than ever. Thank you so much for all you do for the community

I am a teacher. I have seen the relief when families receive food donations. My heart breaks for the families who will struggle over the coming weeks. You guys are incredible. xxx

The vulnerable in our society need our help now more than ever. I would love to donate food to a food bank, but given the panic buying we are currently witnessing, it is gettingiincreasingly harder to do this. If you guys are able to access food via my donation then I am happy to help

I am using the money I am saving on fuel by working from home to give to you. It's a no brainer.

Because items I usually put in supermarket food bank bins not always on the shelf in current circumstances

I would have spent this money in shops, restaurants, and bars. It would have gone towards people's wages, and paid for food and shelter for these employees. Now many of those people have no wages at all.
Right now I'm sat at home in a comfy armchair, and it just seemed wrong not to.

I am self isolated so good wishes to you all

We are all going through a very difficult and frightening time. More people are going to need help. Its the least I can do.

I have been meaning to for a while, but this seemed increasingly urgent given the COVID-19 pandemic.

I usually donate food in the supermarket when I shop - I think of having an extra person to supper. Today I read an article in the Guardian discussing how food banks are getting less at the moment .I am not shopping very much to avoid crowds.

Because some years ago I agreed to give £500.00 + gift aid to the food bank each year to be used in whatever way they thought best. This money was split 4 times a year on dates that were memorable to my family.Feb, May, Aug, and double in Dec. Feb’s donation is late this year as I have been in hospital during Feb.yours sincerely Joy SHENTON.

Christmas is about giving and we have to support each other. Whatever the amount you can donate, it helps immensely.

I have been fortunate enough to never need a food bank to feed my family. I hope this helps provide for people less fortunate.

It is important to show others God's unconditional love and generous heart towards them. Especially towards those in need. God bless you, your work and those that you help.

You guys do amazing work that of course shouldn’t be necessary. Thank you so much.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to make a financial donation as I intend - and usually fail - to donate food.
