Finance is at the heart of what we do at NatWest. This is why the Canterbury & Ashford Business Management team are collecting donations for our local Food Bank, Canterbury Food Bank.
We realise that because of Covid, more people than EVER are dependent on their local Food Bank project for day to day food & non-food essentials – through no fault of their own.
It is staggering to know that:
There are 1300 McDonalds food outlets in the UK.
There are 2000 Food Banks!
In the year 2019-2020 it is estimated that 1.9m people accessed help from a Food Bank in the UK.
With most workplace parties cancelled this year, please consider donating something from your party budget to support those who really need our help.
You can also help in many other ways:
- Consider turning some of your Bank Account ‘Rewards’ into cash to buy food items
- Use nectar or club card points to buy food
- Run a reverse advent calendar – where everyone has a nominated day to purchase / donate. Not so easy this year with lock down !
- Contact your local food bank and ask them what they need, don’t assume it’s all pasta and tinned fruit.
