Cardinal Hume Centre
Helping families and young people overcome poverty and homelessnessFounded by Cardinal Basil Hume in 1986, the Cardinal Hume Centre enables people to gain the help and skills they need to overcome poverty and homelessness. We work with homeless young people, badly housed families and others in need, with a focus on four areas: employment, housing, education and skills, and legal status. We take the ethos of our founder seriously, ensuring that we offer both a non-judgemental welcome and a stable and safe environment for people of all backgrounds in need to seek help and support. Everyone who comes to the Centre is treated as an individual and much of our work is done on a one-to-one basis.
