The Saxon church of St Peter has been serving the parish of Stanton Lacy since the early 11th century.
A beautifully proportioned cruciform church, St Peter's is one of the few churches mentioned in the Domesday Book. We want to secure its future as a place of worship but also, as part of a developing role, become a hub for wider activity across the local community.
It is difficult to do either now without the presence of some basic facilities on site. So, a project has been developed to install a toilet and kitchen. To support this and other urgent repairs to this Grade 1 Listed Building, a major fundraising campaign is underway.
By supporting our work you will be ensuring the church remains at the heart of local Anglican worship and becomes a vital resource for the local community.
