Since 2016, Sponsor Refugees has provided vital support to Community Sponsorship groups across the UK to welcome and resettle a refugee family in their local neighbourhood.
We have witnessed the incredible changes Community Sponsorship has brought to the lives of all those involved, from children who finally received life-changing education to group members whose lives transformed in the process.
Muhammad from Wales has time and again been awarded the highest merit earner. Khaled became a key worker when he joined his local hospital in the fight against COVID, and Ahmed and Enis cooked for care workers during the pandemic. All were resettled in the UK through Community Sponsorship with support from Sponsor Refugees (Citizens UK).

To continue this crucial support, we need to do a bit of fundraising of our own. As Lead Sponsor for over 30 Community Sponsorship groups, our two full-time staff have their hands full being responsible for ongoing support of existing groups as well starting up new ones. We are also coordinating the Refugees Still Welcome campaign, calling on the UK government to welcome a further 25,000 people by 2025.
