DanceSyndrome is a local charity based in the North West of England. We provide inclusive dance workshops and leadership training for people with and without disabilities. Our dancers also perform live at special events across the UK with the aim of inspiring people and demonstrating that people with disabilities can live a life of their choosing and follow their dreams.
All our dance activity is led and informed by people with learning disabilities. DanceSyndrome activities give people confidence, respect, value and self-belief through our philosophy of ‘anything is possible even though you have a learning disability’.
Donations enable us to help people to improve their confidence, communication skills and their health, as well as providing a vital opportunity for having fun, being happy, building friendships, feeling a sense of belonging and developing careers for people often excluded from mainstream dance.
Donations enable us to continue to provide high quality opportunities for people with learning disabilities and to challenge the way audiences think about people with learning disabilities. Through performances and public speaking opportunities, DanceSyndrome's members communicate key messages about inclusion, teamwork and achievement. Audiences are always surprised and delighted at the passion, energy and ability of our incredible dancers who have overcome so many personal barriers to achieve their potential.
Your donation enables our dancers to make their voices heard and to share this vital message that society needs to encourage people to participate and achieve, focusing on their strengths, talents and abilities instead of their learning disabilities.
We appreciate all of your support and are grateful for all donations!
Thanks, from all of the DanceSyndrome team
