The East Midlands Railway Trust

East Midlands Railway Trust (EMRT) is a registered land-owning Charitable Trust committed to converting the dream of its originators into the twin realities of – owning and developing its property for public education and enjoyment; and constructively joining together of two heritage sections, Great Central Railway North and Great Central Railway South, of a former mainline trunk route into the Greater Great Central Railway – this is the connecting by rail of Nottingham and Leicester by closing a major physical gap at Loughborough to form part of a major East Midlands tourist and visitor attraction of classic heritage rail and road travel.
