The pandemic has been so difficult for everyone and has placed additional pressures on the school to continue to deliver exceptional education for the children as well as create a learning environment where they can thrive in what can seem quite a scary world at the moment for such young minds.
Fundraising monies have typically been used to update IT requirements, pay for trips and external visitors as well as outdoor play or functional equipment to benefit the children’s experiences at school. While the trips cannot proceed and external specialists for group talks can’t visit the school at the moment, the pandemic has highlighted a massive need to update the IT equipment. Last year fundraising proceeds were put towards the purchase of 30 Chromebooks (laptops) for the pupils and the all new-weather playground surface and play equipment. But further Chromebooks are required as the ones purchased last year need to be shared amongst all the pupils in the school. In addition, the school would love to create a music room - a dedicated space onsite for either group or individual lessons - and to transform some additional land kindly granted by the Duke of Bedford into a new year-round space for outdoor teaching activities.
So the Fundraising team have been thinking of different ways to engage with our local community to help raise these much needed funds. But sometimes we appreciate that people would like to support the school but don't particularly want to participate in our events.
We really appreciate your support and ask that you can spread the word about our fantastic school
