Fresh Start new beginnings is the treatment service for child sexual abuse in Suffolk and Norfolk

Fresh Start new beginnings was founded in 2012 and now works throughout Suffolk and Norfolk. The charity provides a therapeutic service to children and young people up to 18 years of age who have reported being sexually abused whilst also offering support to their families. Our service is tailored to the children and young people's unique individual needs, taking account of their race, heritage, religion, gender, age, ability, beliefs, sexual orientation and their wishes. Our aim is to help children and young people understand what has happened to them, make sense of the confusion they are feeling and teach them coping strategies in order to deal with the difficulties they face. We highlight their strengths and let them discover their potential so that they are able to get on with their lives and move from victim to survivor.
