'Friends of South Lopham Church', A charity created to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful and historic chuch.
'Friends of South Lopham Church' is a charity created to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful and historic chuch, St Andrew's, where Christian worship has taken place for 1000 years.
Like most medieval churches St Andrew's contains a glorious mixture of craftmanship from many periods. Such is the significance of the church that the one time Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman described it as " the grandest piece of Norman Architecture in the county, next to the great cathederal in Norwich "
The 'Friends of South Lopham Church' is a charity staffed 100% by volunteers with all proceeds collected being directed towards the preservation and maintenace of this architectural masterpiece, and place of worship through the millenia.
