FOVAG enhances the collection and advance education by supporting the work of the Gallery.

Friends of the Victoria Art Gallery (FOVAG) has 450 members raising funds. Contributions are made towards purchasing pictures, ceramics and sculpture. Displays are enhanced by purchasing showcases and funding conservation of existing collections. Support for ‘Adopt a Picture’ has enabled 60 pictures to be restored to exhibition condition. Major bequests of artworks and money have been attracted. Condition checks are carried out on pictures in public rooms of the Bath World Heritage Site. Exhibition research is funded and carried out. Publications and events enhancing Gallery publicity and public engagement are arranged.
