SING LOCH EWE
This community led volunteer group sprang out of an activity which took place during the Aultbea Stories Project in 2021 to 2022.
Many local people stepped forwards to help sing the song penned for Aultbea Stories: when the performance was over, SING LOCH EWE was formed because those who sang together experienced great benefits of coming together to sing, both socially and as a group.
Meeting regularly under the supervision of our local musician and singer, we hope to spread the joy and wellbeing benefits of singing together for fun more widely in the area and across the generations.
We need to raise funds to pay for ongoing costs such a paying for our musician and a place to hold our sessions. Additional longer workshops would enable the songwriting process to be shared more widely.
A donation of £15 would help towards ongoing costs such as hall rental, while a donation of £45 would pay for a professional tutor to deliver a musical session.
Any donations over and above these running costs will allow us to extent the songwriting process for the wider community and hold additional workshops with other groups in the community who may benefit from singing together. A community workshop would cost £250.
