GRMG CIO is a registered charity set up to monitor and conserve raptors (birds of prey) in Gloucestershire. Additionally we seek to advance the education of the public in matters pertaining to raptors, their habitats, species conservation and monitoring, ornithology and avian biology. We monitor, ring and tag wild raptors for the purpose of furthering scientific knowledge and maintain a public presence through social media including our website, www.glosraptors.co.uk We support local organisations in assessing sites for potential use of nest boxes for some species and provide expertise in siting, building and erecting appropriate nest boxes. We also liaise with wildlife crime officers and other agencies in the event of raptor persecution.
