Every Christmas since 1975 there has been a Christmas Santa Claus and Sleigh visiting the village of Haydock. Santa and his sleigh travels the streets visiting the local community and collecting donations on the way, that is then often used to support the local community with charitable donations.
This project also will support our non profit making amateur community club to grow and carry on providing grass roots sports to children and adults, both male and female within the community of Haydock and surrounding arears.
We also use the money to fund this years Sleigh collection running costs and ensure the long standing traditional sleigh continues in future years, with up-keep and maintenance of the sleigh
Unfortunately, this year due to COVID-19 we are unable to collect the money with our sleigh, so are moving online to ensure the community of Haydock in particular the young children, still get to enjoy the tradition of the sleigh coming round the streets, but also ensure the safety of our community by adhering to the social distancing requirements.
