High Five
North West
High Five is a social support group for children with disabilities and their families.
High Five is known as a pan-disability group, meaning we relate to a number of different disabilities. Although the children have various abilities and needs, most struggle in social situations, display sensory difficulties and have communication problems. Each family is dealing with different needs, but essentially need similar social support. Our aim is to provide activities suitable for our most vulnerable child, while also engaging mainstream siblings while parents feel comfortable and supported. We offer a number of programmes in order to reach as many families as possible and offer valuable choice. Since we began, we’ve hosted 100’s of events, providing activities for many vulnerable children and creating a social network.
