I’m currently cycling from Istanbul back to North Wales (5,500km), raising money for an American-based global charity (the HyperIGM Foundation) with which my younger brother, Andrew, was closely associated before he died of HyperIGM syndrome 15 months ago.
HyperIGM Syndrome is very rare (1 in a million) and so there are relatively few sufferers in any one country. As an inherited genetic defect, it means that the sufferers are children - and median life expectancy is about 24 years (Andrew was the world’s longest surviving patient when he died aged 54).
Help us find a cure for Hyper IgM Syndrome and Donate Today!
