Tonight, we look back. On the 23rd March 2020, for the first time in history, we became a nation in lockdown. On that morning, we could not have imagined what the next 12 months would bring. It’s been a year of change and challenges. A year of facing fear and holding on. As we look back over the last 12 months it is difficult to comprehend how devastating it has been for our charity. Unable to open the doors to our retails shops or raise funds in our communities, we have had to make some dramatic changes and heart-breaking decisions in order to consolidate our resources to ensure we could continue to be there for the dogs that need us.
Despite the hardship we have faced and the uncertainly for our future, it’s been 1 year of standing together, 1 year of keeping fingers (and paws!) crossed, and 1 year of sheer determination to ensure that we survive the impact of this pandemic.
We are not out of the woods yet, despite restrictions lifting slightly we still face unprecedented barriers and struggle to raise to funds that we so desperately need.
So for all the dogs that have faced lockdown in our care and the ones we are yet to meet, we need your help.
If you can give even a £1 to help our cause, we, and the dogs will be so grateful.
