The UK government’s decision to restrict the number of people gathering, and now STAY AT HOME, PROTECT THE NHS, SAVE LIVES, in order to try and prevent the spread of COVID-19 has wide-reaching effects. We are starting to see the impact of this across all parts of society, and this includes how we function as a church. Importantly, we continue to work hard across all our outreach activities, Food Bank, Helping Others, Shopping for the Elderly, and Lunch Take Away, in order to serve the Milton Keynes Community.
As a church leadership team, we are facing a number of challenges, not least in terms of finances, as nearly all of our renters are also impacted by the restrictions now in place and not allowed to function or use our premises. We still have overheads in terms of our payroll, KCC running costs and mortgage payments. We are taking all possible steps to ensure we can continue to function in this environment, and although we are unable to meet on Sundays or even as cells, we need to try and maintain our income in order to meet these overheads.
Therefore, I would ask and encourage us to give in faith where we are able. This will go some way to help us continue the work that God has called us to. I would like to thank you for your generous hearts. Whatever you give, it is an investment in the Kingdom of God and a wonderful step of faith.
