New Life is a registered charity that is dedicated to raising money for special care baby units, to help sick and premature babies.
The Charity was launched by Trevor Goodall in 1995 in memory of his sons Joshua and Samuel who was born 3 months early weighing just 1lb 1oz and 1lb 3oz. Sadly, they both died after a week, but their struggle inspired Trevor to do something. Now each year the charity goes from strength to strength. Every year in the UK over 100,000 babies are born premature or require medical attention. Neonatal units rely on specialist equipment to save, treat and monitor premature babies and to support the family at what is a highly emotional and stressful time, but NHS budgets do not stretch to ensure the latest and most effective equipment is available. That's why it's our mission to provide neonatal equipment to special care baby units that improve the chances of a new life surviving and thriving. To date Trevor and his team of volunteers have raised an incredible ONE MILLION POUNDS helping hospitals across the country to raise funds to buy specialist equipment, improving the chances of babies born prematurely.
