Oasis provides vital support to vulnerable families and children in Elmbridge and the surrounding areas.

The pressures of today’s world often affect those least able to cope: those in critically dysfunctional family situations, some single parent families, those with drug or alcohol addictions, those with mental health issues and those suffering severe financial hardship. However, the worst casualties are the children – the ones with no voice and ultimately no power to change their home environment. With the ability to respond quickly to a family in crisis, Oasis provides critical and long-term support across Elmbridge to children and their families in need. At any one time, approximately 100-200 vulnerable families are registered with us. We work with each family to put in place a workable and measurable plan to make a positive difference to the whole family. As part of this plan, we also offer in-house services, such as counselling, emotional wellbeing courses (for domestic abuse and resilience), and parenting and nutrition classes. As a result of our holistic work, we see a positive impact on our families - namely, an improvement in their resilience, emotional wellbeing, self-confidence and the renewed empowerment to rebuild their lives.
