Scotland

RSGS is a small, dynamic, educational charity, working across Scotland and beyond to promote geographical understanding and joined-up thinking.

We champion the teaching of Geography in schools and universities, to equip young people with key skills for employability. We organise public talks by inspiring people (adventurers, travellers, writers, photographers, broadcasters, academics, professionals) and publish a highly-regarded magazine, to encourage greater geographical knowledge. We convene and participate in policy meetings involving academic, government, corporate and voluntary sectors, to help inform positive solutions for local, national and international problems. We draw on our distinguished heritage of more than 130 years, to inspire people of all ages to keep on exploring and learning. Please support us, and help us to build a better future.
