RTProjects - Saving Lives with Art

Suicide is the leading preventable cause of death in the UK. There is a solution. RTProjects has been using art to manage anxiety and depression and save people from suicide since 2007. Through therapeutic creative interventions, beneficiaries learn to use creativity to strengthen their own emotional resilience, gain insight into their emotional experiences and increase their capacity to manage their own mental health, which in turn reduces their reliance on clinical and pharmaceutical interventions. We've been doing this for 12 years now from our little artist’s studio in Gilesgate, Durham, ‘The Open Art Surgery’.
