Do you want to join us in making a difference? Help us reach more food insecure households.
Save the World Club volunteers make it their mission to deliver fresh food, donated by our generous suppliers, to vulnerable households everynight. Our supply and demand continues to grow, and in order to ensure we reach as many food-insecure households as possible, we need your help. Thus, we are excited to add DONATE to our ongoing campaign for a new van to be added to our fleet. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to the purchase, registering, and insurance of a new van to help reach and feed the vulnerable. We have been collecting surplus food from supermarkets for 12 years and a new vehicle will enable us to maintain and expand partnerships with all the big supermarket chains, including Aldi, Lidl, M & S, Sainsburys, Tesco and Waitrose to bring more food to our community members.
During the first lockdown (April 2020), we set up a gofundme page to raise money for a new van. With everyone's support and sharing, our gofundme page caught the attention of Wandstor where they donated a brand new electric van. That donation propelled our mobility and we at STWC were able to get more food to more people. The gofundme page raised 4,000£ and we have you guys, our community, to thank for your thoughfulness. However, we can't stop yet. We are now raising money to buy a used electric van. Our supply and demand is still growing and our staffs' personal vehicles are not sustainable. That is why, STWC is launching this campaign for an electric van! Why an electric van, you may ask? Because it fits in with our mission of keeping our Mother Earth in mind. We are committed to helping and uplifting our community by delivering emergency food while keeping our carbon foot print to a minimum.
Please help us by donating. Donations are eligible for Gift Aid, but best of all you, the donor, will know that you will help augment and even participate in the joy, love and respect given to the volunteers by the grateful receivers of the much-needed distributions.
