This year St Andrews, Great Cornard are supporting three local charities:
- Abi’s Footprints – Supporting mothers and families in the Sudbury area who are struggling in difficult circumstances to meet the practical needs of a new baby or infant up to age 3. We do this by providing, free of charge in the local area, a Moses Basket with essential clothing, bedding and toiletries for a newborn baby – or maybe a bundle of clothing or bedding for a baby or infant – or a larger item such as a cot or buggy subject to availability.
- Sudbury Community Depot - Their aim is to help isolated and vulnerable people in the area make a fresh start, by providing essential supplies to those in need. Based at The Christopher Centre in Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, they will store clothing, bedding, furniture, pots and pans, donated to those who have recently moved into new homes, after homelessness or have escaped from abusive relationships, but do not have possessions or the means to buy such items
- Just Talk - Just Talk is an affordable counselling service where you can see a trainee counsellor in a safe and confidential environment. Clients are offered a confidential 45 minute assessment with a qualified counsellor, assessments cost just £10.
